AlfaSight™ 9000 Thermometry Scan

A Non-Invasive Look at Your Body’s Stress Response, Regulation, and Functional Patterns

Your body is constantly communicating. The AlfaSight™ 9000 scan is designed to help us better understand those signals by measuring temperature patterns across specific points of the body before and after a mild cool-air stress response.

This non-invasive assessment uses infrared sensing and Regulation Thermometry™ to evaluate how the nervous system, organs, tissues, and circulation may be responding under stress. The scan does not replace medical diagnosis, lab testing, imaging, or your primary care provider. Instead, it provides an additional layer of insight that can help guide deeper conversation, wellness planning, and appropriate follow-up testing when needed.

The AlfaSight 9000 is described by Alfa Thermodiagnostics as an FDA 510(k)-cleared adjunct diagnostic system, using infrared technology and historical pattern recognition to support functional and preventative care conversations.

What Is AlfaSight 9000?

The AlfaSight 9000 is a whole-body thermometry assessment system that measures temperature responses at multiple points on the body. The process is based on the idea that skin temperature changes can reflect nervous system regulation and stress-response patterns connected to internal organs and tissues through neurological pathways.

For naturopathic care, this can be especially helpful because it gives us a broader view of how the body may be compensating, adapting, or showing signs of imbalance.

Rather than looking at one symptom in isolation, the scan helps us ask better questions:

  • What systems appear stressed?

  • Where might the body be struggling to regulate?

  • Are there patterns that deserve further evaluation?

  • How can we better prioritize your wellness plan?

Why Patients Choose This Scan

Many patients come to naturopathic care because they feel something is “off,” even when standard testing has not fully explained their symptoms. Others simply want a proactive way to monitor their health and make more informed decisions.

The AlfaSight scan may be a helpful addition for people interested in:

  • Early wellness screening

  • Whole-body functional insight

  • Preventative health planning

  • Monitoring progress over time

  • Exploring possible sources of chronic stress or imbalance

  • Supporting a more targeted naturopathic care plan

Alfa describes the scan as non-invasive, painless, radiation-free, and typically completed in about 20 minutes.

What the Scan May Help Us Evaluate

The AlfaSight report may help identify patterns that can guide discussion around areas such as:

  • Breast health screening support

  • Thyroid and endocrine stress patterns

  • Inflammation-related patterns

  • Dental and systemic connections

  • Structural or musculoskeletal stress

  • Circulation and nervous system regulation

  • Metabolic and organ stress patterns

  • Follow-up testing priorities

This scan is considered an adjunctive tool, meaning it is used alongside your history, symptoms, exam findings, lab work, imaging, and clinical judgment. Alfa’s own patient FAQ states that AlfaSight does not directly diagnose cancer or other diseases, but may provide information that helps guide appropriate follow-up testing such as lab work or imaging.

What to Expect During Your AlfaSight Scan

Step 1: Preparation

Before your appointment, we will provide preparation instructions so the scan is as accurate and consistent as possible. Alfa recommends avoiding caffeine and exercise before the appointment and wearing long sleeves and pants beforehand to help keep the body warm prior to scanning.

Step 2: Baseline Scan

The first scan records baseline temperature readings from specific points on the face, neck, torso, and arms. Alfa states that the system scans 120 points during the assessment.

Step 3: Cool-Air Response Period

After the baseline scan, your body is exposed to normal room-temperature air for a short response period. This helps assess how your body regulates after a mild temperature stress. Alfa describes this as a 10-minute stress-response period before the second scan is completed.

Step 4: Report Review

After the second scan, a report is generated for review. We will walk through your results in context, explain what the patterns may suggest, and discuss whether additional labs, imaging, referrals, lifestyle strategies, or naturopathic support may be appropriate.

How This Fits Into Naturopathic Care

Naturopathic medicine focuses on understanding the whole person, not just isolated symptoms. The AlfaSight scan supports that approach by helping us look at regulation, stress response, and possible system-level patterns.

Your results may help us personalize recommendations related to:

  • Nutrition

  • Stress resilience

  • Detoxification support

  • Hormonal and metabolic health

  • Inflammation support

  • Sleep and recovery

  • Digestive health

  • Targeted lab testing

  • Referral for medical imaging or specialist evaluation when appropriate

The goal is not to create fear or label you with a diagnosis. The goal is to gain clarity, identify priorities, and create a more informed plan.

Is AlfaSight Right for You?

An AlfaSight scan may be a good fit if you:

  • Want a proactive wellness assessment

  • Have unexplained symptoms and want another layer of insight

  • Are interested in functional and preventative health

  • Want to monitor changes over time

  • Prefer a non-invasive, radiation-free assessment

  • Want your naturopathic care plan to be more targeted

This scan is not a substitute for emergency care, standard cancer screening, mammography, diagnostic imaging, blood work, or evaluation by your medical provider. It is best used as an adjunct tool within a broader health plan.
